Listening to DMR on the Rasperry Pi3 with op25 and a SDR

Note, op25 is capable of transmitting as well. From what I read (haven't tried it yet) you connect the PC soundcard connected to the direct modulator input (i.e., 9,600 data port) of a regular radio. The author tested with a Icom IC-820H. Not real sure how that works for DMR with the quick turn around times. I'd assume it uses both time slots. I think I also saw some hackrf support in the /tx folder. Flee power though, unless you build up an amp.
If anyone farts around with transmit, I'd be curious to hear about it.
