Antennas

Post by KC9OIS » Tue Dec 03, 2013 6:22 pm

I picked up a pair of 16dBi Yagi WiFi Antenna RP-TNC (Linksys WRT54G WRT54GL DD-WRT Tomato) on eBay for $44 w/free shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm/251012939905?ss ... 1423.l2649.
They should work nice with the enclosure KC9UHI mentioned. I picked up one those too.

Thanks for the inventory listing Steve. Once we find some locations, maybe we can use some of your stuff for testing. Interesting on the Denmark to Pulaski link.

After I saw Steve's list, I remembered I had some WISP parts in my basement storage:

1. Routerboard RB133/133C 3 port board, 2 card slots on the board. It is set in a indoor metal case. I have the 110 Wallwort.

2. Ubiquiti SR2 Radio card - Atheros AR-5213 chip

3. 16" x16" Outdoor Antenna with RB 133C3 Board and XR9 card enclosed. Have POE & Mount. XR9 card was set up and running as a 900 MHz spare wisp replacement antenna.

4. Ubiquiti Powerstation 2 / Model PS2-17D w/POE and mounting bracket.

5 Linksys WRT54GS V4.0

I powered up everything, logged into the 2 RB boards, so they work. SR2 also works. I also think I have a 19" grid antenna in the garage overhead. I may have a few more XR9 cards.
