Experimental DMR Repeater
Experimental DMR Repeater
This repeater has replaced the one in Green Bay. Info in a new thread.
---
Bought an xpr8300. It'll be linked up to the DMRx BrandMeister server in Texas, which interconnects with most everything. Read more about BrandMeister -- https://bm.pd0zry.nl/index.php/Main_Page
The repeater is programmed up and on the air, currently located at my QTH. I'll admit, not the best coverage area. This may change. Linked talk groups coming soon.
Radio Programming info:
RX: 431.600, TX: 426.600, Color Code: 6 (short form: 431.600 -5 CC6)
The following Talk Groups will be 'primary usage' on the repeater
Time Slot 1
-- TG 3100, USA (linked)
-- TG 8951, Local 2 (secondary local, unlinked)
Time Slot 2
-- TG 9, Local (unlinked)
-- TG 3155, Wisconsin Statewide (linked)
-- TG 31099, Region 9 - WI, IN, IL (linked)
ARS will be supported shortly is now supported and its use encouraged. More info coming soon.

Re: Experimental DMR Repeater
Linked talkgroups now up.
Re: Experimental DMR Repeater
Yeah ok, so just tell me the particulars so I can get a good feel for if hanging a yagi is worth the effort.
What antenna model/gain and height do you have for the repeater?

Re: Experimental DMR Repeater
As of 13Mar16, here's what the repeater is connected to:
Diamond X30 on top of about 20' of fence pole, fed by 80 feet or so of RG-8.
I do plan on changing this, not sure what to yet.

Connect with a dv4mini!
~install dv4mini software -- http://dv4m.ham-dmr.ch/
~Get the edited dv4mf2 software from me. Copy to same directory the above software is installed to
~useful tips for configuring dv4mf2 software -- http://www.g0hwc.com/dv4mini.html
~On the "gateway setup" tab, select "kc9uhi-cloud2" as dmr+ master (this dmr+ master is not linked upstream... doesn't behave like other dmr+ masters)
~On "dv operation" tab, select dmr+ mode, reflector 4012. click the "connect" button.
~If you've got everything set up right, you should hear "connect to reflector four zero one two" from your radio.
~PTT on radio to dv4mini, will come out my repeater on TS2 TG9. All repeater traffic on TS2 TG9 will come out dv4mini.
It is possible to map more reflectors to more talkgroups in the future.
For operation on the linked talkgroups (3100, 31099, 3155), use brandmeister mode connected to master-3102-us, and use the xtg (extended talkgroup routing) feature.
