It occured to me that this radio, could be a good candiate for DroidStar and or M17 since its basically a black box and an app.
Related is also the BTECH GMRS-PRO 5W GPS, Bluetooth, App Programmable GMRS Mobile Radio and Retevis RT99, & RT78
Rumors are;
Bluetooth communication with the radio are encrypted (BLE)
The code is supposedly on github, but kind of hard to find. They don't provide API or source code because they're using other people's code and hiding it
/Don't want people to find out or they'd have to give attribution to all the open source libraries
It would be interesting to find that somehow.
