I was talking to KB8ZXE and we really have no experience with dynamic routing. We both came to the conclusion that a video where someone explains what nodes they are going though and shows a traceroute and bandwidth test would be helpful.

Finally there is a version of BBHN for the Ubiquity devices.

I might actually get around to loading it on a spare bullet this weekend.
Of course now I wish they had a version for the Mikrotik Groove as I am thinking of picking one of those up.
So far I have not done anything with Mesh, and it sort of makes sense for the distance/propagation delima.. Till I think, wait a second,
802.11 is still half duplex, so when you make a (metric) hop using a mesh topology, you effectively cutting your bandwidth in half, and again and again for each node you hop/route through.
So I guess that is why Ubiquit (M series) and others have crafted their own propriety TDMA based versions. TDMA can use alternate time slots to pull off a full duplex link.
So we need to take that into account.
