Re: XTS3000 Alignment
My guess is that down that low in freq the radios are just do dirty (wave form) that P25 won't get decoded properly by another radio. I am not sure what the cure would be. I really don't think the soft pot deviation adjustments would have much effect. It would likely be a hardware thing. Coil spread...

Re: Registration
Alright is it just me, or was anyone else hoping/expecting to see more people join this board by now?

Newsline on a Raspberry Pi
I guess Bob brought this idea up at a Green Bay Mike & Key board meeting. My thought is that it would be a great learning project for someone else in the club. This is why I am posting here, and will ask if anyone wants to take a stab at it. I am pretty sure this would not benefit anyone for som...

http://forums.radioreference.com/digital-voice-decoding-software/281568-p25-repeater-dsd.html Hi All, Just for fun I threw together a repeater program in c# that works on Windows 7/8. It also sets the RTS/DTR (or both) pins high when transmitting the audio. I wanted to make the repeater only transmi...

Mikrotik
I picked up some Mikrotik radios to play with. These are the most powerful radios on the market (1.3 watt radios) They also are very feature rich. However I don't recommend them for the faint of heart. Configuring them is very unfriendly for the beginner user.

Re: OLSR technical stuff
Finally there is a version of BBHN for the Ubiquity devices. http://www.broadband-hamnet.org/documentation/186-ubnt-fw-release-101 I might actually get around to loading it on a spare bullet this weekend. Of course now I wish they had a version for the Mikrotik Groove as I am thinking of picking one...

Re: APRS Station Display
I know both Chad and Justin have done the fleetmap/Garmin thing with APRS. To me without something like that, it's kind of a a one way radio thing and has never really gotten me excited. The older Garmins they used didn't give you the map updates, so I think that is why they later abandoned that. Th...

http://arvideonews.com/hrn/HRN_Episode_0128.html Some interesting stuff in this. Mostly the antenna modeling, and upcoming work that he mentions. I have been saying, if I had to start all over, the Mitrotik Groove is what I'd go with over the Bullet. This kind of confirms that. I'm also curious abou...

Re: TINYTRAK3 SMT
If you want to do it without a tracker board. Take a look at this post: http://kb9mwr.blogspot.com/2013/05/aprx-running-on-raspberry-pi-using.html Bob details how he set up an I-Gate, using a USB sound devices instead of a TNC or hardware tracker board. You should be able to adapt this to a tracker ...
