Teamviewer over BBHN
I finally got Teamviewer working over the mesh. VOIP, Chat, Video and Remote Control all work. HRD w/ VOIP controlling my HF rig works too! Thanks for the insight Matt!

Another use for a WRT54GL Router
I ran across this project http://www.jbprojects.net/projects/wifirobot/ when I was looking for some plans to build an RC snow plow since the transmisssion on my garden tractor (with the plow crapped out). I've played around with RC stuff for years. Mostly boats and vehicles , even an underwater UAV ...

6 foot Helium Ballom & WRT54G Router
Interesting video on wifi via tethered balloon. Used for "wardriving" in this application (circa 2008). They use a 6 foot tethered balloon filled with helium at 150 feet, carrying at 3.5lb payload. The basic payload consisted of a WRT54G router, a CCD camera with pan & tilt control, an omni ...

Re: FreeDV HF Digital Voice for Radio Amateurs
Codecs are a start and it's ideas like this that stimulate others to come up with something better (like open source firmware and being able to flash your radio). Now there's a concept! Amateur Radio based on Open Source code and modular kits, reasonably priced. QST mags that are 3/4 articles ...

Re: Outdoor Enclosures
I have to agree, the Bullets are probably the way to go for many reasons. They are made for outdoor use, they offer more flexibility when it comes to frequencies and options and as you said, you can shift the frequencies and bandwidth to offset and reduce interference. Not to mention they are newer ...

Re: TINYTRAK3 SMT
That looks like the best/cheapest way to go. $36 for TT3+ Kit, $22 for the GPS/ANT & $5 for Max232 TTL converter. Should all fit in the HTX-202 battery case!

FreeDV HF Digital Voice for Radio Amateurs
Digital modes and technology seem to be making some headway in Amateur Radio. I seeing more software and hardware being developed these days. Here is another interesting program for digital voice on SSB. Amateur Radio is transitioning from analog to digital, much as it transitioned from AM to SSB in ...

Re: Antennas
Thanks for the inventory listing Steve. Once we find some locations, maybe we can use some of your stuff for testing. Interesting on the Denmark to Pulaski link.

TINYTRAK3 SMT
I'm thinking about using a TT3-SMT to put in a RS HTX-202 battery pack and a Byonics GPS2OEM module for the GPS receiver/patch antenna, so I can have everything in the battery pack. The plan was to supply the radio from an external 12v 7AH SLA and tap off that for power to the tracker. Not sure how ...
